Tim Quinn - CEO & Co-Founder

Tim is CEO & Co-Founder of thingtech and has over twenty years of experience building and deploying geo-spatial technologies for fleet and asset tracking.  Tim is a high energy and motivated executive with a razor sharp focus on providing solutions and services that improve our customers business and the world around us.   Tim’s management style is built around creating scalable systems that are executed at 100%.

Tim most recently served as an Executive Vice President for an Atlanta-based technology company, RouteMatch Software, where he was also a co-founder and led the sales, marketing, and business development efforts.  Prior to RouteMatch Software, Tim led the transportation group at GeoFields, a geospatial technology for energy and gas industries, where he focused on building and integrating technology for large transportation organizations such as Norfolk Southern, Delta Airlines, City of Atlanta, and multiple State DOT’s and Public Works departments.

Tim holds undergraduate and graduate degrees from the University of Georgia and the Georgia Institute of Technology (Georgia Tech).  He resides in Atlanta with his wife, Mary, and daughter, Claire.


Brian Corcoran - President & Co-Founder

Brian is President & Co-Founder of thingtech and has over 12 years experience in the Fleet Tracking & Mobile Workforce Management technology field.  Brian has personally Designed, Deployed, or Managed over 250 GPS / AVL deployments in the U.S. and Canada, along with complementary technologies such as GIS-based Schedule and Route Optimization, Mobile Data Computing, and Advanced on-board vehicle logic units with integrated peripheral functionality.  Previously, Brian served as Vice President at RouteMatch Software, Inc. – a market leader in passenger transportation management systems – where he led a Sales, Marketing, and Account Management team to over $40 M in revenue generation and 98% customer retention.

Brian graduated from Furman University with a Bachelors degree in Management.  He resides in Atlanta, GA with his wife Tara and daughters Ruby and Lane.


Vladimir Mijatovic - CTO

Vlad has over 15 years experience in lead technical and management roles. He is an expert in creating innovative software solutions for diverse industry domains. Vlad has formed, mentored, and led efficient development teams. A hands-on System Architect with a track record of implementing complex high transaction systems and meeting aggressive timelines, Vlad designed and effectively deployed Web-based infrastructures for many growing companies.

Most recently, Vlad has held a position of VP of Software Development at PGi, Inc. He was the architect and technical lead of iMeet, an innovative, next-generation conferencing platform. PGi, Inc. acquired the underlying technology for iMeet from Halcyon Worlds, Inc. where Vlad was a founder and CTO.

Vlad spends his rare free moments with family, friends, reading, coding, and talking stocks and football betting. 


David Churchill - VP Technology

David Churchill has over 20 years experience creating and deploying transportation and logistics technology solutions.  His experience includes Development, Product Management, and Project Management for transportation, logistics, as well as engineering plant operations.

Most recently, David led product management at a leading passenger transportation software firm where he set direction for product development which fueled industry leading growth and customer retention.  Previously, David implemented several 7-figure software deployments involving GPS Asset Tracking and Logistics systems.    

Prior to his civilian career, David served honorably for 20 years in the U.S. Navy on submarines operating and supervising the operation of nuclear propulsion plants in Trident and fast-attack submarines.

David holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Information Systems from Chapman University. He resides in Smyrna, GA with his wife Kim – they have 7 grown children and 6 grandchildren.
